Genoa, November 12, 2025 – The Stazione Marittima of Genoa hosted yesterday the sixth edition of the CSET Pre-Event, an initiative promoted by HWG Sababa that, year after year, continues to stand out as one of the most significant occasions for dialogue between companies, institutions, researchers, and cybersecurity professionals.
More than a preview of the upcoming CSET Conference, the event offered a moment to pause, observe ongoing transformations, and reflect on how digital security is reshaping infrastructures, processes, skills, and – most importantly – the way decisions are made.
In a global landscape where threats, attackers, and technologies evolve at unprecedented speed, a common message emerged: the need to build shared awareness that connects different worlds – industry, public sector, research, and local communities.
Throughout the evening, three thematic sessions explored the most pressing challenges in cyber defence today:
- Protecting OT and industrial systems, which are now exposed to attacks that threaten not only business continuity but also the physical safety of people and critical infrastructure.
- Incident response, which demands coordination across technology, data governance, technical expertise, and legal frameworks – an effort made even more complex by the rise of artificial intelligence.
- The convergence of data, identity, and behaviour as the foundation of a modern security model built on collaboration, intelligence, and distributed trust.
“For us, the CSET Pre-Event is a laboratory of vision,” said Alessio Aceti, CEO of HWG Sababa. “It’s not just about tools or solutions but about understanding how to build collective resilience in a world that is changing rapidly. Even though our main offices are in Verona and Milan, Genoa is a second home to us – a place where we share projects, values, and a vision of sustainable digital growth.”
The event acted as the perfect prologue to the CSET Conference 2025, organized by START4.0 and taking place on November 12–13 in the same venue, strengthening the connection between the industrial ecosystem, institutions, and local enterprises.
On the opening day, Alessio Aceti will moderate the roundtable “Cybersecurity Without Borders: Defending the Invisible,” dedicated to the new frontiers of protecting interconnected digital ecosystems – where security is no longer just about infrastructures, but about the trust that societies place in them.
A special thanks to all the event partners: B-right lawyers, Code Blue, Delinea, Keepit, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, Recorded Future, Tenable, Trend Micro, and Centro di Competenza MIMIT Start 4.0.
